Do you allow adult content on your servers?
Pornography and sex-related merchandising are expressly prohibited on Avahost servers.
Also we don't allow: pirated software (warez), Non-Licensed MP3's or Software, Hacker programs or archives.
Spamming, or the sending of unsolicited email, from our server or using an email address or domain that is maintained on our machine as reference is STRICTLY prohibited.

Is there a minimum contract period?
The only minimum periods for each account are the minimum periods for which each account type is available. Most accounts may be purchased on a month-to-month basis
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover/Novus, Online Checks, e-gold, webmoney, wire transfer. Contact us.
Do you handle the domain registration process?
Yes, we can handle and register new domains for you at a discount. If you are transferring a domain, you will need to handle the domain transfer yourself. We include all the information you need to contact your registrar and move the domain to our servers in the welcome email you receive after signing up. If you still have problems, email our support team and see if we can help.
Who owns my domain when I register it through you?
You do. You, or the person you specify when you sign up, will be listed as the administrative and billing contact on your domain and will retain full control over it at all times.
Can I use domain names from other countries (.cc .nu .to)?
We support almost all TLD Extentions. Even the new .biz, .per, .info

Who transfers my existing domain to your server?
You are responsible to make sure your domain points to our server. We will provide you with our nameservers which are needed to make this change. If you still need help, we will be glad to assist you, just contact Customer Services.
I own several domain names, can I use them all on one account?
Yes, you can.
Depending on plan you can place on one account 1 to 7 domain names.
If you want more than this amount you can order additional domain for only 2$/month.
Do you support FrontPage Extensions?
Yes, we support FrontPage Extensions.
Why don't you just give everyone their own IP address?
There are a limited number of IP addresses in the world and that number is rapidly being depleted. Once the IP addresses are gone, they're gone--there just won't be any more for anyone else. There is some work being done to establish a new system but it would take a very long time to implement it and it is not near completion yet. So, in an effort to do our part, we minimize the number of IP addresses we use. More than 95% of our clients use shared IP addresses and do not report that they have any trouble with them at all.
But if you want to have IP address we can give it for you for $20 setup + $3/month. With own IP you can get SSL and Anonymous FTP.
What server software are you running?
We use run Linux Red Hat and Apache web server.
I want to accept credit cards through my website, can I do this on your servers?
Yes, you'll need to find a shopping cart and you will need to have a merchant account with a bank or select billing service, like 2CheckOut.
How long does it take to set up service ?
This is process normally takes a few hours, as long as your credit card is approved. You will receive your welcome and set-up information by email. Remember, it can take longer for your domain name to point to your new account. However, as soon as you receive your welcome message by email, you are ready to use your new account with your temporary sub-address.
Is my account permitted to have commercial material ?
Yes, definitely. We have clients whose material range from personal to corporate information. However, we do not allow certain adult content, spam, warez or illegal content with our services. See our terms and conditions for details on content permitted on our servers.
Do you provide tech support?
Yes, we will provide our customers with technical support for any problems related to services or tools that are offered by us.

How do I upload my website files?
All hosting accounts come with an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) account which allows you to upload files to your account via an FTP Client. Almost all site design programs like Adobe Pagemill, Macromedia Dreamweaver, GoLive HotDog, Allaire HomeSite, CyberStudio, HotMetal Pro, Netscape Communicator and NetObjects Fusion use FTP to maintain your site
All Accounts come with FTP and a Web based method to upload files via your control panel.
Can I change from one plan to another?
Yes. Changing plans is easy, just let us know and we will set it up for you.
Can I use SSI on your servers?
Yes, you can use SSI on our servers.
SSI stand for "server side include",
it work in files with .shtml, .html, .htm extensions.
Do I get my own CGI-BIN ?
Yes, you have your own CGI-BIN and can upload via FTP
or our file manager your own cgi scripts.
